Important Information about Virus Transmission
Get Informed about Coronavirus (COVID-19) Transmission
I just came across the most truthful and educational video that I have come across that explains where this virus came from, all the scary ways it can be transmitted and the best ways to protect yourself.
I cannot understand why our country is not getting this timely information out to the American people. This doctor explains why South Korea and the Asian Counties were better prepared and have less fatalities than Europe, the United States and the rest of the world.
This video is subtitled, but it’s worth it to watch to really understand what we are up against. I felt the most important parts of the video were when this immunology specialist talked about all the ways it can be transmitted. This video should be translated into English and made available for all Americans to watch.
He even answered the question, “can you get this virus through your eyes.” This specialist was head of the South Korean effort to fight the SARS epidemic in 2003, so I think we should value his experience and knowledge.
I posted this as we need clear, truthful information at this time about this virus. It is ravaging our country, and it didn’t have to be this bad or fatal to many of our fellow Americans. We should have been fully prepared for a respiratory viral infection and immediately put our emergency plan into action when we first heard about this starting to spread in China in December and early January.
The SARS virus affected South Korea and Asia more than the United States. After experiencing the SARS epidemic in 2003, South Korea knew that if another viral respiratory epidemic occurred (as we know it will again sometime in the future) they were prepared. Many South Korean businesses competed to make masks, PPE’s and tests etc.
They also knew that if everyone wore masks, sick or not, it would REDUCE the transmission of an airborne virus. This doctor explained that culturally in many Asian countries, people routinely wear masks when they are outside. It has become the norm and the excepted way to cut down even the routine, run of the mill flu infections that pop up every year.
So, if you are interested, please watch this video (actually read along) and then share it with family members, loved ones and friends to help us all learn how to reduce the risk of getting it or passing it on.
Be safe out there, and I do think it’s time for all to wear a mask when all the medical professionals get them and they are plentiful in the future.
